Inspirations

Dr. R.C. Sproul

We mainly adhere to the same doctrines as the late Dr. R.C Sproul. As a fellow adherent to the Westminster Confession of Faith Dr. Sproul was an inspiration for us in the creation of the church and through his teaching, we grew in knowledge and wisdom.

Dr. D. James Kennedy

Like Dr.Kennedy, we too, see the importance of dynamic and engaging sermons that connect with the listeners while staying true to the Biblical text. Dr. Kennedy also adhered to the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Dr. Voddie Baucham

Dr. Baucham provided the groundwork for our family-integrated service and helped us understand the importance of providing our children with a Christian education. Dr. Baucham adheres to the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession, which we too embrace within the congregation.

Dr. Lois Berkhof

Dr. Berkhof’s work Systematic Theology has proved invaluable to the elders to help them explain the more complex doctrines revealed in Scripture. Dr. Berkhof’s systematic examination of Scripture provides a useful guide for Biblical understanding.

John Calvin

John Calvin’s Commentaries and his Institutes of the Christian Religion are an integral part of sermon preparation at GRFC. By calling upon Calvin’s deep understanding of Christian doctrines we are sure to teach only the time-tested truths found in Scripture.

Matthew Henry

Matthew Henry’s commentaries also serve as a guide for us when preparing sermons. His sound reformed doctrine and application to life help us create meaningful and thoughtful sermons that apply to us even today.

C.H Spurgeon

Known as the “Prince of Preachers”, Spurgeon’s Treasury of David is an invaluable resource for understanding the Psalms. He engaging and life-changing sermons have been preserved for us today and provide a wealth of application and learning for today’s pastors.
